This should work well once my husband’s Serama chickens grow a bit more. He wants to be able to let them sit on his shoulder, I don’t want birds loose in the house without protection, this was our compromise – though he isn’t keen on the cute little lemons for his roosters. Overall this seems to be fairly well made, I like the soft elastic that was used to go around the wings and the Velcro placement seems to be such that it will secure the suit without being uncomfortable for the bird. The construction also seems to allow for plenty of tail comfort while still making sure the part that needs covered, will stay covered. As you can see, the polyester lining is quite thing (you can see the back side of the lemon fabric through it in the 3rd photo) and the lemon fabric itself is quite thin – I’m thinking this is to cut down on weight so the bird accepts the suit more easily. I am a little skeptical about how well this will contain bird droppings even short term, however, several Serama groups have recommended adding a small piece of paper towel or feminine panty liner for extra protection and I can see that being an idea worth trying!
